Well, you're pretty lucky to know me because, unless you got the same email I did, not many people know about this. I just checked all of Kajabi's social media and don't see it mentioned anywhere.

How Much Does Kajabi's Branded App Cost? Is It Extra?
According to the email referenced above:
Add the Branded App to your Kajabi plan for just $199/month.*
* Heroes on a Basic plan will need to upgrade to a Growth or Pro plan to add a Branded App to their business.
So: The Branded App will cost $199/month IN ADDITION TO what you already pay for Kajabi.
And since it specifies that you must be on the Growth or Pro plan to use the Branded App, that means you're paying in total either $398/mo or $598/mo*. Here's where you can see all of Kajabi's plans and pricing.
*Based on paying your Kajabi subscription monthly. If you pay annually, you save 20% of the base price of your Kajabi plan.
If you're currently on the Basic Plan, you'll need to upgrade to either the Growth or Pro plan
That's a stated requirement to use Kajabi's upcoming/new Branded App. The jump from Basic to Growth is only $40-50/mo so not a big deal if having a Branded App is important to you.
So there you have the fine print - just wanted to make sure you knew that as you decide whether to try and get early access and/or use the Branded App option when it's out of beta later on.
Isn't $199/mo Extra a Lot for a Branded App?
I have no background in branded apps so I can only pass on what I've heard, which ... varies, LOL. Some people say they can get a branded app for less and others say $199/mo is a great bargain, especially because Kajabi will be managing it for you.
Paying "extra" to have a quality company like Kajabi manage the more techy parts of my business has been a no-brainer for me in general.
Prior to using Kajabi, any time I had tech issues with my self-hosted WordPress site, etc., the companies that were SUPPOSED to help me rarely did.
So I ended up paying web developers, etc. to fix things and then explain it all to me. Needless to say, that wasn't cheap. I imagine having an app developer on-call isn't cheap either. At $100/hr, that's only 2 hours of help per month and you're breaking even just paying for Kajabi's branded app.
Kajabi's Branded App Includes Maintenance, Which Is HUGE
As they say on the beta signup page, "We’ll build and maintain a custom branded course app for you so you can spend more time doing what you do best."
If your Branded App with Kajabi goes down, I'd take great comfort in knowing there's someone available 24/7 to troubleshoot and get you back up and running.
Once your customers get used to using your branding app, they're likely to be pretty upset if it stops working. I'd want Kajabi's horsepower behind that issue personally.
Well, that's just my 2 cents. It'll be interesting to watch Kajabi roll out this Branded App. It's a feature that a lot of people have asked for over the years so I hope a bunch of them utilize it and report back to the rest of us, lol.
